Houston Pets Alive!
Our Mission
Houston Pets Alive! is dedicated to saving the lives of at-risk cats and dogs and finding them loving forever homes. We strive for a world where every companion animal is cherished and safe.
Our Journey
Founded in 2014 as a small, foster-based rescue, we have grown into a leading advocate for animal welfare in the Greater Houston area. From our pivotal role in the Hurricane Harvey rescue response to our expansion into innovative programs, we have remained committed to serving as a vital safety net for pets in need.
Our Approach
We are not your average rescue. We operate through a holistic model that combines a dedicated foster network with lifesaving programs and low-cost veterinary services. By working alongside municipal shelters and strategic partners, we increase lifesaving capacity and help families keep their pets healthy, happy, and at home.
Your Partner in Adoption
We measure our success by the joy our animals bring into their new families’ lives. We thoroughly assess each pet's temperament to provide detailed insights into their personality, ensuring that we help you find the perfect match for your lifestyle. Whether you are ready to welcome a new companion or looking for resources to support your pet, we are here to walk that path with you.
Join Our Mission
Every adoption changes lives, creating space for another animal to find safety and hope. We invite you to explore our available cats and dogs today to find your new best friend. Together, we can transform the future for homeless animals in our community.
