Lampasas Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The Lampasas Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing a safe, healthy environment for stray animals and ensuring they find their way into loving, permanent homes. We are committed to caring for every animal that comes through our doors, ensuring they are valued and respected.
Serving Our Community
Since our opening in 2009, we have served as a collaborative effort between the City and County of Lampasas to protect animal welfare. Operating under the direction of the Lampasas Police Department, we provide a vital service of public safety by housing stray animals and educating our citizens on responsible pet ownership.
How We Care
Our shelter staff, all licensed Animal Control Officers, work tirelessly to provide daily care and enrichment for our animals. Beyond our facility, we are proud to partner with over 100 rescue groups across the country and maintain a dedicated foster network to ensure every animal receives the attention they deserve while waiting for their perfect match.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adoption is a life-changing journey, and we are here to help you find a pet that fits your unique lifestyle. Our team uses their training to evaluate each animal’s temperament and health, and we are committed to being completely transparent about the backgrounds and personalities of the pets in our care. By choosing to adopt, you are giving a deserving animal a beautiful second chance at life.
