Welcome to the SPCA of Polk County, a nonprofit NO KILL animal welfare society dedicated to providing compassionate care to pets in need since 1978. Our mission is rooted in a commitment to engage with the community, promoting responsible pet ownership and advocating for spay and neuter practices to help reduce overpopulation. We strive to reunite lost animals with their owners and provide humane care while seeking loving, forever homes for the animals in our guardianship. Our expansive 10,000 sq. ft. facility houses over 100 cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, eagerly awaiting their chance for a new beginning. Additionally, our low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic is designed to serve the community with quality care, ensuring that pet ownership remains accessible and affordable.
