Grand Companions is dedicated to helping people save, honor, and connect with homeless pets. We strive to end the needless euthanasia of pets while supporting the magical bond between humans and their animal companions.

Our Story

Founded in 1989 by Laura Langham, Grand Companions has grown from a small group of volunteers serving Jeff Davis County into a professional organization serving the Trans-Pecos region of Texas. For over three decades, we have remained committed to providing sustainable, community-focused solutions for homeless pets, celebrating 35 years of bringing joy to thousands of families.

We believe no pet should have to live in a traditional shelter, which is why we developed the innovative Sweet Suite Shelter©. This system creates a calm, happy, and interactive environment that honors our pets while they await their forever families. By utilizing a central distribution center and satellite adoption outlets, we provide a repeatable, professional system for successful pet adoption.
