Murphy Animal Shelter
Our Mission
Murphy Animal Shelter, a division of the Police Department, is dedicated to providing compassionate care for the stray, lost, and displaced animals within our community. We strive to be a reliable resource for animal welfare, safety, and successful adoptions.
Who We Are
Located in the heart of Murphy, Texas, behind the Community Center on N. Murphy Road, we are proud to serve a growing city with a rich history. As a municipal department, we bridge the gap between public safety and animal protection, ensuring that every pet that comes through our doors receives dedicated attention.
How We Care
Our facility is a climate-controlled shelter designed to provide a safe, comfortable environment for the animals in our care while they wait for their forever homes. We are supported by two dedicated Animal Control Officers who work tirelessly to balance their diverse responsibilities in community safety and animal well-being. By maintaining a clean and professional space, we ensure each animal is prepared for their next big adventure with a new family.
