Nocona Lucky Paws is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless animals while advocating for their humane treatment. Our goal is to ensure that every animal in our care finds a loving, furr-ever home.
Founded by a dedicated group of concerned citizens, volunteers, and veterinarians, our organization was born out of a community need to support stray and abandoned dogs in Montague County. In 2017, we opened the doors to our modern, humane facility, made possible by the generosity of the City of Nocona and our local animal-loving supporters.
As a 501(c)(3) organization that relies entirely on donations and fundraising, we are committed to the highest standards of care. Our facility includes comfortable indoor/outdoor kennels, and every pet we welcome is spayed or neutered and receives recommended vaccinations before they are ready for adoption. Beyond the shelter, our network of foster families provides essential support, ensuring our animals get the comfort and attention they deserve while awaiting their new families.
Adoption is the best option for saving lives and finding a lifelong companion. We strive to make the adoption process a positive, open experience, ensuring every pet is matched with a responsible, loving home. Our adoption counselors are here to help you navigate this transition, and in most cases, you can bring your new best friend home the very same day.
We invite you to visit our shelter at 653 Airport Road in Nocona to experience the joy of our happy, healthy dogs firsthand. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer your time to play with our animals, or offer support through donations, you are helping us make a real difference.
