Welcome to Mazie's Mission, a nonprofit veterinary hospital committed to ensuring that every homeless and neglected animal receives the exceptional care they deserve. Founded by Dr. Erin Shults, our organization is named after her beloved shelter dog, Mazie, who inspired the vision of creating a sanctuary for animals in need.
At Mazie's Mission, we believe that quality veterinary care should not be reserved for privately owned pets alone. Our mission is to partner with animal rescue organizations and shelters to provide affordable, high-quality medical services, ensuring that our community's homeless animals receive the treatment they deserve.
Since opening our first facility in Frisco, Texas in 2014, we have been dedicated to building personal relationships with our rescue partners and expanding our impact within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We have outgrown our original location and are excited to announce a move to an even larger facility by the end of 2024. Our future goal is to establish an 'Animal Headquarters' on a dedicated plot of land to serve as a permanent haven for animal welfare.
Our services extend beyond veterinary care; we also offer a low-cost heartworm treatment program, support for military and first responders, and specialized forensic veterinary medicine to combat animal cruelty and neglect. Dr. Shults's training in Veterinary Forensics equips us to advocate for justice in cases of abuse and ensure that innocent animals receive the protection they need.
We are proud to be the only veterinary clinic of our kind in the country, entirely focusing on supporting pets in the rescue system. By providing expert care, we aim to not only save lives but also reduce the euthanasia rate by enabling rescues to take in more animals.
If you are passionate about animal welfare, we invite you to get involved! Whether through fostering, volunteering, or adopting, your participation is crucial in our mission to create a brighter future for the animals in our care. Join us in making a difference today!
