City Of Port Aransas Animal Shelter
A Heart for Our Animals
The Port Aransas Animal Shelter is dedicated to the care and well-being of animals within our community. We strive to provide a safe, supportive environment for pets while they await their forever families.
Our Commitment to the Community
Located at 409 W Cotter Ave., behind the Chamber of Commerce, our facility serves as a vital resource for local residents and their animal companions. We are proud to be a part of the City of Port Aransas, working under the guidance of our professional Animal Control Officers to ensure the health and safety of the animals entrusted to our care.
How We Operate
Our shelter functions as a dedicated municipal facility where our team oversees daily operations and animal welfare. Our staff, including Lead Animal Control Officer Robert "BJ" Grimes and Officer Aaron Warner, works hard every day to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our residents. We are currently accepting volunteers, welcoming those who wish to contribute their time to help our animals thrive.
Building Lifelong Friendships
We believe that every animal deserves a loving home where they can flourish. Adopting a pet is a rewarding journey, and our team is here to support you in finding a companion that fits your life and brings joy to your home.
