Take Me Home Pet Rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted cats and dogs by providing a safe haven through compassionate care. We strive to create a brighter future for every animal, one home at a time, by ensuring they are healthy, sterilized, and ready for their next chapter.
A Commitment to Compassion
Founded on a vision to reduce pet overpopulation, we are a 100% volunteer-run, nonprofit organization based in Richardson, Texas. Since opening our Pet Adoption Center in 2020, we have served as a central hub for our community, providing medical care and a dedicated space for weekend adoption events.
Our Care Model
We believe in the power of the foster system, where our rescued pets live in loving homes to experience the warmth of a real family while awaiting their forever match. Every animal in our care receives comprehensive medical attention, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchipping, ensuring they arrive in your home healthy and happy.

10/10 - Simbalou lives with a loving family, but has decided he needs to be an only pet. He will tolerate younger kittens in his home, but no longer wishes to associate with any of the adult cats. It was a difficult decision for the family to accept his wishes, but they have been looking for a new situation for him for a while. Simbalou would be happiest being the center of attention, just hanging out in his own home, and not sharing his people. Simbalou is a sweet boy. 10/9 - Birdie is a sweet, beautiful tabby with expressive eyes and a sweet loving personality. A caring mama to her kittens, she was found outdoors during a storm protecting her little ones. Although it seems she was let down by humans, it did not dampen her gentle, loving spirit. She adores a warm lap, a few toys, and just focusing her adoring eyes on her caregiver. She lives with another cat in her foster home and may do well with another cat in her new home. 10/8 - Gorgeous house panther Charlie was living happily in her forever home, until things changed through no fault of her own and she was returned to us to rehome. She is looking for a place to belong and be loved. She is the sweetest girl, but black cats, although beautiful, are often overlooked and at the center she often hides, but is not like that in her foster home. 10/7 - Sweet Cattia was the mother to a litter of beautiful kittens in the spring, but still has not found her people. The shelter staff remarked that she was so incredibly proud of her kittens when they were born and was a diligent caretaker. She is a beautiful tabby cat with her dark eyeliner and lots of personality. Cattia currently lives in a foster home with a dog and has convinced the dog she runs the place now. She needs to be the only cat in the household and would be fine with a cat savvy dog. Find out more about Cattia at our website! 10/6 - Beautiful tortie Buttercup is a sweet, wonderful girl who is looking for her perfect home. Due to an injury, she has some special needs as a wobbly cat. She is a total love bug and looking for a warm lap to curl up into. She loves toys and doesn’t mind other cats. Her mobility is a bit awkward, but she doesn’t let it stop her from having fun or getting the attention she deserves. She just wants to be loved and love you!
