Sherman Animal Services

Welcome to Sherman Animal Services, where our mission is to ensure the safety and well-being of animals while promoting responsible pet ownership within our vibrant community. Located at 1800 E. Ida Rd., our shelter provides a safe haven for animals in need, eager to find loving forever homes. At Sherman Animal Services, we believe every animal deserves care, compassion, and a chance at a better life. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide enrichment and socialization for the dogs and cats in our care. With adoption fees at a minimal cost of $50 for dogs and $40 for cats, each adoption includes a spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm testing for dogs, and a microchip, making it easy for anyone to welcome a new furry family member. We pride ourselves on being accessible and supportive to potential pet adopters. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that pets are matched with families that can meet their needs, based on various criteria. Whether you're a first-time pet owner or experienced with animals, our trained staff is here to assist you in finding the right companion. Engaging our community is at the heart of what we do. We actively partner with local citizens, veterinary professionals, and animal welfare organizations to create a better environment for our animals. From capturing stray animals to helping injured wildlife, our Animal Services Officers are committed to serving the city while enforcing animal ordinances for the safety and well-being of all. For those looking to contribute further, we offer volunteering opportunities, inviting individuals to join us in caring for the animals. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and our community. Additionally, donations are always appreciated and can be made easily online or in person at our shelter. We also invite you and your furry friend to visit the Sherman Dog Park, located within Fairview Park. This spacious and well-equipped area is the perfect spot for dogs to play and socialize. As you enjoy the park, remember to take full responsibility for your pet's safety and conduct. Join us in our mission to promote animal welfare! Visit us today to meet our wonderful animals awaiting adoption, volunteer, or make a donation. Together, let's create a loving community for all pets!
