Our Mission
Pearl's Place is a dedicated 501(c)(3) dog rescue in Temple, Texas, committed to giving a second chance to the dogs other rescues often turn away. We specialize in providing a safe haven for seniors, strays, and those with complex medical or skin and coat needs.
Our History
Our organization is named for Pearl, a 12-year-old yellow lab who was just one day away from being euthanized at a local shelter before she was brought home. Her four subsequent years of life inspired our founder to turn empty boarding kennels into a sanctuary, and we have been officially registered as a nonprofit since February 2021.
Our Approach to Care
With over 25 years of professional grooming experience, our team approaches skin and coat recovery with hands-on, daily expertise. We utilize professional-grade products, hydro-massage ozone therapy, and consistent veterinary guidance to ensure every dog receives the personalized treatment they deserve. Every animal in our care is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and housed in a temperature-controlled environment.

8/14 - City of Temple says it will no longer buy local animal shelter
Pearl's Place was to be destroyed and replaced with a city water tower until city officials found an alternative nearby property.

Pearl’s Place is a well known and dedicated animal rescue in Bell County and they are facing mounting challenges. One is that the city of Temple is forcing them to relocate as their property has been taken via eminent domain and they are having to close intake for the first time in years.
