As the oldest no-kill animal shelter in East Texas, we have been committed to our community since 1968. Founded by concerned citizens to provide a better alternative for animals in need, we have spent over five decades saving thousands of lives and advocating for the welfare of our furry friends.

The last three of 38 dogs rescued from an unsanitary Smith County home were taken in Friday, according to the Smith County Animal Shelter.
