The SPCA of East Texas is dedicated to safeguarding, rescuing, sheltering, healing, and advocating for animals in need. We strive to create a kinder community where every pet has a chance to thrive.
Who We Are
As an independent, local 501(c)(3) organization, we are fully committed to the animals right here in our community. Every gift and donation we receive stays local to support our essential rescue, adoption, and medical programs.
How We Operate
We are a foster-based rescue, meaning many of our adoptable animals reside in loving temporary homes while awaiting their forever families. This model allows our animals to receive personalized care and socialization in a home-like environment, ensuring they are well-prepared for their transition to your family.

We take the time to understand your lifestyle and household, which is why we utilize an application process followed by a meet and greet to ensure the bond is right for everyone involved.
