Welcome to Lifeline of Galveston County, a dedicated 501(c)3 non-profit animal welfare organization, founded with a passionate mission to end the killing of companion animals in our community. Our team is committed to ensuring that no healthy or treatable pet is left without a chance for a loving home. Founded in September 2020, we are a grassroots organization striving to transform animal welfare in Galveston County. We recognize the plight of vulnerable pets in our local shelters, particularly community cats, neonatal kittens, large dogs, and those most at risk of being overlooked. We believe every animal deserves a second chance and a loving environment to grow and thrive. Our approach is marked by a variety of vital programs including Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for community cats, which helps manage and stabilize outdoor cat populations, while promoting healthier neighborhoods. We've also launched initiatives to foster adoptable kittens and our expanding pet adoption center allows us to give more pets the chance to find forever homes. At Lifeline, we prioritize building a robust support system, offering services such as a pet food bank, free vaccine clinics, and essential resources for local pet owners. We provide numerous opportunities for community involvement, whether through adoption, fostering, volunteering, or supporting our cause with donations. Our vision is clear: a future where municipal shelters are no longer forced to euthanize pets due to overcrowding, and where every companion animal has access to safety and care.
