Our Journey Together
Originally incorporated in 1959 as the Bennington County Humane Society, we rebranded to Second Chance Animal Center in 2000 to better reflect our expanding mission and service area. Today, we operate out of our state-of-the-art facility in Arlington, Vermont, serving residents across Bennington County, parts of Washington County, New York, and select towns in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
How We Care
As a private, limited-admission non-profit, we take pride in our thoughtful approach to animal welfare. Our dedicated staff provides comprehensive care, including medical treatment, enrichment, and spay/neuter services, while advocating for the animals in our care and supporting pet owners through community programs like our food pantry and vaccination clinics.
