Founded in 1901, HSCC has been a cornerstone of animal welfare in Vermont for over a century. As an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, we proudly serve Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties, providing care for over 1,400 animals annually. Our state-of-the-art facility spans nearly 12,000 square feet and is designed to support our mission through high standards of animal care, community engagement, and education. At HSCC, we are committed to reducing the number of unwanted animals through effective spay and neuter programs and by offering affordable health and wellness services to those in need. We believe in the importance of humane education and outreach, providing resources to pet owners and aspiring pet adopters in our community. We work tirelessly to advocate for animals in crisis, ensuring their rights and well-being are protected through education, investigation, and legislative efforts.
