Kingdom Animal Shelter, Inc.
Our Mission
Kingdom Animal Shelter is a dedicated, non-profit, 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization committed to facilitating the placement of rescued, abandoned, abused, or neglected cats into safe, life-long homes. We strive to improve animal welfare through community partnership and the promotion of responsible, compassionate care.
Our Commitment to Cats
We envision a community where every animal is free from hunger, fear, and loneliness, and we believe that the human-animal bond enriches us all. Because we respect the inherent value of every life, our shelter acts as a limited-access facility where cats are never euthanized simply due to a lack of space or the length of their stay.
How We Operate
Located at 1161 Portland Street in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, we operate as a primarily volunteer-led shelter. In addition to our physical location, we rely on a compassionate network of foster homes to provide a safe, quiet environment for kittens, senior cats, or those recovering from illness until they are ready for their forever families.
The Adopter Connection
We believe in thoughtful, intentional matching to ensure every cat finds the perfect environment for their personality and needs. Whether you are seeking a playful companion or a calm lap cat, our team is here to provide you with information about our available residents and the adoption process. We are proud to support you as you welcome a new, cherished member into your household.
Get Involved
Ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to visit us during our open adoption hours on most Saturdays or browse our available cats online to learn more about their unique stories. If you cannot adopt right now, please consider joining our mission through volunteering, fostering, or making a donation to support our ongoing efforts in the community.
