With roots deeply planted in the heart of Woodstock, Vermont, our mission has always been to offer refuge and care for the vulnerable, including both animals and children. While our focus has shifted over the decades to exclusively support neglected and abused animals, the spirit of Lucy's generous heart remains the guiding force behind our work. Nestled on 14 scenic, semi-wooded acres in West Windsor, our society stands as one of the oldest continuously operating no-kill humane organizations in the United States. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality shelter and care for our furry residents, ensuring that each animal receives the love and attention they deserve as they await their forever homes. At the core of our mission is a dedication to enhancing the human-animal bond. We accomplish this by carefully matching adoptable pets with loving owners and offering post-adoption support to foster a seamless transition into new families.
