Located in the serene environment of Aldie, Virginia, we are a leading no-kill animal rescue organization dedicated to providing loving homes for our dogs and cats. With a commitment that stretches over four decades, we have been able to save the lives of more than 17,500 animals, assisting them in finding their forever homes throughout Northern Virginia and surrounding areas. At FOHA, our mission is grounded in a deep respect for all animals. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers shares a heartfelt commitment to fostering a compassionate community where every animal is given a second chance. We strive to create an engaging and supportive environment, both for our animals and our adopters, ensuring that each pet finds a home that fits their unique personality and needs. Our facility, set on 40 wooded acres, allows potential adopters to interact with our animals in a non-shelter atmosphere, making the experience more personal and rewarding.
