Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a dedicated, volunteer-powered nonprofit committed to rescuing homeless and at-risk dogs and cats from certain euthanasia. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance at a happy and fulfilling life.
Our History and Purpose
Founded in 2009, our organization was created to combat the cycle of animal homelessness. We have successfully saved more than 35,000 animals since our inception, driven by our vision of a world where all pets have responsible families and loving homes.
Our Unique Care Model
We operate a 100% foster-based program in the Washington, DC metro area, which provides a safe and nurturing home environment for animals until they find their forever families. To expand our impact, we also operate a state-of-the-art Rescue Campus in South Carolina, featuring an on-site veterinary clinic that allows us to provide comprehensive medical care and prepare pets for their journey to new homes.
