Welcome to Lake Country SPCA! We are a proud 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization and no-kill shelter located in Clarksville, VA. Our mission is simple yet profound: to enrich the lives of abandoned, abused, and neglected pets by providing them with rehabilitation, care, and the opportunity to find a loving forever home. Founded in 2002 by a group of passionate individuals concerned about the growing number of stray animals in our community, we began our journey rescuing and caring for stray animals. Now, in our state-of-the-art facility built in 2015, we have the capacity to shelter, provide medical care, and spay/neuter over 700 animals each year. At Lake Country SPCA, we believe in the importance of the animal-human bond. Our vision sees a community where every animal is nurtured and celebrated, ensuring that no pet suffers from neglect, cruelty, or abuse. We strive for every pet to have a responsible, loving home where they can thrive. We do not receive government funding; instead, we rely on the generosity of our community through donations, grants, and adoption fees to cover approximately $25,000 in monthly expenses. This budget allows us to provide everything from veterinary care to food and shelter supplies for the over 700 animals we rescue each year. Join us in our mission!
