Welcome to Cat's Cradle of the Shenandoah Valley, a non-profit organization founded in 1998 with a passionate mission to ensure and maintain a safe, compassionate community for cats in our beautiful Virginia area. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to promote spay/neuter initiatives, engage in Trap, Neuter, and Return (TNR) programs, and facilitate foster-based rescue and adoption from local shelters. At Cat's Cradle, we believe that every cat deserves a chance and every family should have the support they need to provide loving homes. We strive to decrease the intake of cats and kittens across local shelters and aim to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets in our communities. Our organization has a strong commitment to pet retention and rehoming assistance, helping families keep their beloved pets or find them new homes when necessary. Our programs serve the counties of Augusta, Page, and Rockingham, providing essential services such as spay/neuter assistance for low-income citizens, TNR support for feral cat colonies, and foster care for rescued animals. In collaboration with local veterinarians and organizations, we also conduct education and outreach efforts to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering.
