Welcome to the Middleburg Humane Foundation (MHF), a haven for animals in need located on our beautiful 23-acre farm shelter in Marshall, Virginia. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming a diverse range of animals—from pocket pets to livestock. Our commitment to animal welfare is unwavering, as demonstrated by our service to over 1000 animals in 2023 alone. At MHF, we pride ourselves on being a community-driven, non-profit organization that relies on your generous support. We do not receive government funding, which means that the success of our mission depends greatly on our fundraising efforts and community outreach. Our facility also includes a Grooming Salon and Furchandise Boutique that offers deeply discounted pet supplies, along with a resale boutique shop on Main Street to further benefit our efforts. Our mission extends beyond simply finding homes for pets. We also engage in humane education and community programs such as Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for community cats, pet food assistance, and volunteer opportunities that help foster lasting connections between people and animals. In 2022, we successfully adopted out 496 animals, demonstrating the collective impact we can make when we work together. We believe that everyone can play a vital role in animal welfare.
