Fauquier SPCA, Inc.

Our Mission

The Fauquier SPCA is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing a temporary refuge for stray, homeless, and abandoned animals, while placing them into caring, appropriate homes. We believe every animal deserves a chance at happiness, and we work tirelessly to ensure our residents find the love they truly deserve.

A Legacy of Compassion

Founded in 1957, the Fauquier SPCA has spent over 60 years offering protection and assistance to animals in Fauquier County and the surrounding areas. From our early days at Dogpatch Farm to our expansive 11-acre campus in Casanova, we have continuously grown our capacity to serve local animals with the most complete care possible.

Our Shelter Home

Our facility is designed with the comfort and well-being of our animals in mind. We operate a dedicated adoption center that features 36 dog kennels, three separate cat rooms—including a beautiful cat sunroom—and spacious paddocks for exercise and play. Our site also houses a dedicated Animal Control Center and a specialized clinic where we provide spay/neuter services and essential wellness care.

Finding Your Perfect Match

We are deeply committed to making successful, long-term matches between our animals and their new families. Our adoption counselors take the time to get to know each animal's personality, ensuring that every adoption is a joyful partnership. Because we prioritize the success of these new beginnings, we invite you to visit our shelter to meet our residents in person and discover your new best friend.

Come Meet Us

We invite you to visit us in Casanova to experience our work firsthand and meet the animals currently waiting for their forever homes. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our mission through donations, you are a vital part of our community. Please visit our website or stop by during our adoption hours to start your journey today!
