Orange County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The Orange County Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing humane, compassionate care to every animal entrusted to us. We strive to serve our community and our furry residents with integrity, consistent with all state regulations and local policies.
Our Commitment to Care
We believe every animal deserves a chance at a loving home. By balancing professional shelter operations with a compassionate network of fosters, we provide the safety, medical care, and specialized attention that our animals need to thrive before they find their forever families.
How We Operate
Our facility functions as a hub of activity where our team and volunteers work daily to ensure the well-being of our dogs and cats. We utilize a blend of shelter care and foster environments, which allows us to provide individualized TLC for shy dogs, orphaned kittens, or animals recovering from medical treatments like Heartworm. Because we do not euthanize for length of stay, our animals remain in our care until they find the right match.
The Adopter Connection
Finding the right companion is about personality, lifestyle, and a shared future. We encourage you to visit our facility to meet our pets in person, using our dedicated living room areas to ensure a comfortable and meaningful introduction. Whether you are bringing your own dog for a meet-and-greet or simply spending time walking our residents, we are here to support your journey in finding a perfect new family member.
