Richmond Animal Care and Control

Our Mission

Richmond Animal Care & Control is dedicated to serving the Richmond community by providing professional animal care, promoting responsible pet ownership, and facilitating happy, healthy reunions between pets and people.

Who We Are

As the city's primary resource for animal welfare, we strive to bridge the gap between pets in need and the families ready to welcome them home. Our work is centered on ensuring every animal receives the care and compassion they deserve while they await their forever family.

How We Help

We operate as a hub of support for our city's animals, managing essential services including adoption, animal control, foster placement, and lost-and-found programs. Through our dedicated team and community-focused initiatives, we maintain a welcoming environment where our animals are prepared for their next chapter.

Find Your New Best Friend

Adoption is the start of a beautiful, lifelong partnership. We are committed to thoughtful matching, ensuring that each animal finds a home environment where they can thrive, and where families can experience the joy of companionship. Every adoption gives a deserving animal a fresh start and creates a meaningful connection that enriches our whole community.
