Suffolk Animal Control
Our Mission
Suffolk Animal Control is dedicated to protecting, housing, and providing compassionate care for the stray, injured, abused, and unwanted animals within the City of Suffolk. We are committed to improving the lives of homeless pets and helping them find the loving, permanent homes they deserve.
Our Community Commitment
Serving the City of Suffolk, our facility acts as a vital resource for both animals and citizens. Beyond our daily shelter operations, we actively work to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, including the life-saving importance of spaying, neutering, and rabies vaccinations.
How We Care
Our work is powered by a dedicated team and a robust foster care network, which allows us to provide more animals with the care and socialization they need until they are ready for their forever families. From nursing mothers and kittens to adult animals in need of extra attention, our foster volunteers provide a safe, loving temporary environment that prepares these animals for a successful transition to life in a new home.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe that a successful adoption is a partnership built on compatibility. Our adoption program is designed to help families select an animal whose personality and behavior are a wonderful fit for their specific lifestyle, ensuring a happy, lifelong connection. Every dog and cat in our care is spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated before they head home to begin their new journey with you.
