At The Cat's Meow, we are dedicated to helping homeless cats find their way to loving families while supporting the people who care for them. Our mission is to create a compassionate community where every cat has the opportunity to thrive.
Our History and Community Impact
Since 2004, we have been proud to serve the Anacortes community, making a lasting difference for thousands of feline friends. Over the last two decades, we have successfully helped more than 1,500 cats and kittens transition into forever homes, while also managing our local feral cat population and providing essential community support.
A Special Kind of Shelter
We are a unique, limited-admissions shelter that prioritizes comfort and well-being. Instead of traditional cages, our cats live in light-filled, open-concept living rooms where they can lounge on futons or soak up the sun in our screened outdoor catios. Beyond our adoption center, we provide a feral cat sanctuary, a community cat food and litter pantry, and free spay/neuter services for local residents.
