Our Mission
Purrfect Pals is dedicated to ending cat homelessness in the Puget Sound region through active, compassionate placement and prevention programs. We believe every cat matters and deserves a second chance at a loving, forever home.
A History of Compassion
Founded in 1988 by Kathy Centala, our organization began with a simple yet groundbreaking goal: to replace euthanasia with care for unwanted cats. Over the decades, we have grown into a dedicated team that provides a sanctuary for cats who have been overlooked by others, ensuring they receive the love and medical support they need to thrive.
How We Care
We operate a sanctuary in Arlington and manage a robust network of offsite adoption centers, including partnerships with retailers like PetSmart. Our approach combines a specialized sanctuary for senior, chronically ill, and behavioral-needs cats with a foster-care network that provides temporary, home-based rehabilitation for those waiting to find their perfect match.
