Our Mission
West Sound PAWS is a dedicated, grassroots nonprofit organization committed to nurturing and sustaining the bond of companionship between pets and their people. We believe in providing essential services that protect the health and well-being of animals and their families across our community.
Our History and Community Focus
Since our founding in 1975, we have become a vital presence on Bainbridge Island and throughout North Kitsap. We are proud to have spent nearly 50 years working to reduce pet overpopulation, prevent unnecessary euthanasia, and answer the community's call to support both animals and the people who love them.
How We Help
Our work is powered by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who provide a wide range of services, including veterinary assistance, low-income spay and neuter programs, and specialized support like our Safe Harbor boarding and Last Litter program. We operate through community-supported centers, including our locations in Kingston and Pleasant Beach, while utilizing experienced volunteer foster homes to ensure every animal receives the care they deserve.
