CASA - Camano Animal Shelter Association
Our Mission
The Camano Animal Shelter Association (CASA) is dedicated to uniting animals in need with caring people, forever enriching their lives. We envision a world where every animal has a voice, receives proper care, and is safe and secure.
Our Story
Founded in 1998, CASA is a small but mighty 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located on Camano Island. Over the years, we have grown into a dedicated team committed to the welfare of animals, providing a safe haven for those who need us most.
How We Care
As a managed-admission and no-kill shelter, we make a lifelong commitment to every animal that enters our care. There is no limit to the amount of time an animal can spend with us, and we are proud to offer counseling and support long after they have been adopted. Through our partnership with Island County and by assisting other shelters, we provide a vital resource for dogs and cats in our community.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe in creating successful, lasting partnerships between pets and their new families. Our adoption process is designed to ensure a great match, utilizing detailed bios based on current assessments and personalized staff support. Once you find your perfect companion, we provide comprehensive post-adoption support to ensure everyone settles in beautifully.
