Sunny Skys Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Sunny Sky's Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing a second chance to animals who need us most, with a special emphasis on senior pets and those requiring medical attention. We believe in changing the world one paw at a time by finding loving, permanent homes for the pets who come into our care.
Our Story
Our journey began in 2010 when Dr. Illina Berton, inspired by a rescue dog named Spike, chose to dedicate her life to saving animals from overcrowded shelters. After many years of transporting rescues from afar and serving the Puyallup community, we are now building an exciting new sanctuary in Graham, Washington. While we have faced challenges, including a fire that forced us to relocate, we are moving forward with a vision to create a home-like, non-traditional adoption center.
How We Care
We are a rescue run primarily by volunteers who are passionate about the animals in our care. Our new facility, located in Graham, is designed to be a peaceful environment featuring rolling hills and comfortable, cozy spaces where animals can thrive. Whether they are dogs, cats, or even the occasional farm animal, we provide medical care and a safe harbor while they wait for their forever families.
Your Adoption Journey
We believe that adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are committed to making the process as thoughtful as possible for both you and your new pet. Our team works hard to help you find the perfect match, whether you are looking for a playful companion or a gentle lap cat. Because we want you to truly get to know your new friend before bringing them home, we provide an appointment-based system that allows for meaningful, pressure-free introductions.
