Our Mission

The South Pacific County Humane Society is dedicated to improving the lives of cats and dogs by providing compassionate care, finding permanent homes for homeless animals, and supporting pets and owners in need. Our vision is a community in South Pacific County where every cat and dog has a loving home.

Our Story

Since our doors first opened in 1997, we have remained the only shelter in south Pacific County, Washington. For over 20 years, we have relied entirely on the generosity of our community rather than tax dollars to sustain our mission, allowing us to serve hundreds of animals every year.

How We Care

As a volunteer-driven, no-kill rescue, we provide a safe haven for cats and dogs until they find their forever families. Every animal in our care receives comprehensive support, including vaccinations, spay/neuter services, microchipping, and individualized attention from our dedicated staff and volunteers. We are proud to be a Candid Platinum recognized organization, reflecting our deep commitment to transparency and excellence in animal welfare.

Finding Your Perfect Match

Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our goal is to create the best match possible for both you and your new companion. Our simple screening process helps us understand your needs, ensuring that every pet finds a safe, happy environment where they can thrive. We encourage all household members to meet our pets, and we are here to support you through every step of the transition.

Join Our Community

Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer your time, or contribute to our life-saving programs like our Pet Food Bank, there are many ways to get involved. We invite you to view our currently available Beach Pets or reach out to us to schedule a visit to our Long Beach shelter. Together, we can ensure every animal receives the love they deserve.
