Forever Home Dog Rescue is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to finding rescue dogs their true forever homes. We believe in the power of second chances and are committed to placing dogs in permanent, thriving environments.
Our Story
Since 2012, our mission has been simple but deeply intentional. Serving Western Washington, we partner with shelters locally and across states like California, Texas, and Louisiana to help dogs who have been overlooked or are running out of time in overcrowded facilities.

We are a dedicated, volunteer-run organization focused on advocacy and transparency. Because every dog comes to us with a unique background, we prioritize learning their individual needs, whether they require medical care, training, or a quiet space to decompress.

9/27 - Meet Zydeco! 💙 We took this handsome boy for a walk and he was such a sweetie! He walks well on leash, responds to you, and is very treat motivated—making him a fun dog to train. 🦴 He has incredibly soft fur and adorable little prancing trot! 🥹🐕 He’s such a sweet, goofy boy with tons of potential. At just 1 year old, Zydeco is looking for an active family ready for walks, adventures, playtime, and continued training. 9/27 - Meet Ninja 🐾💙 75 lbs of fluffy, goofy love! This 1.5-year-old Newfoundland/Border Collie mix is looking for a foster or forever home. We took Ninja for a walk today, and he was SO happy and excited to be out! His big personality definitely comes with some big bouncy energy, so his adopter will need to be comfortable handling a strong, 75-lb dog who can get excited. The good news? Once Ninja settled into the walk, he really found his groove. He walks nicely on leash, checks in with you, looks back to see where you are, and he’s very treat motivated—which makes training that much more fun! 🥰 He’s a goofy, happy boy who just needs someone confident, patient, and willing to keep helping him learn.
