Welcome to Partners For Pets, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless cats in Spokane County. Our journey began in 1996 with a small group of passionate animal lovers who shared a vision to create a better future for our feline friends. Over the past 27 years, we have successfully placed thousands of cats into loving homes, making a significant impact on our community. Our mission is straightforward yet vital: we strive to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets. We promote the importance of sterilization (spaying/neutering) and work collaboratively with local shelters to implement effective foster and adoption programs. Education plays a critical role in our efforts, as we advocate for responsible pet ownership through permanent identification and the commitment to care for pets for their entire lives. At Partners For Pets, we are proud to be a 100% volunteer-run organization. Our incredible volunteers devote their time and talents to ensure that every cat or kitten in our care receives the love and attention they need. Each feline starts its journey in a nurturing foster home, where they are cared for and socialized before moving to our Adoption Center or partnering PetSmart locations for adoption. We believe in making a lifetime commitment—not just in finding forever homes for our rescues, but also in welcoming them back if their new homes do not work out, even years later.
