The Harbor Association of Volunteers for Animals (HAVA) is a dedicated no-kill shelter serving the feline population of North Pacific County. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for cats and kittens who are homeless, abandoned, or abused, while working tirelessly to find them permanent, caring homes.
Founded originally in Westport, WA, by Shirley Brown, HAVA has grown through the passion of a dedicated volunteer community. Today, we are based in Raymond, WA, where our shelter, Harry’s HAVA House, serves as a beacon of hope for local animals in need thanks to the generous support of Harry and LaPriel Jones.
HAVA is a protect-life shelter—a safe harbor, not a final destination. Beyond rescue, we offer vital community support, including a low-income spay/neuter voucher program, pet food assistance, and education. We believe that keeping families and their pets together whenever possible is a core part of building a stronger, kinder community.
Adoption is the start of a joyful, life-long partnership. Whether you are looking for a playful kitten or a seasoned adult cat, our team is here to help you find the perfect match for your lifestyle. Every pet comes to you spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ensuring they are ready to become a cherished member of your family.
Ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to explore our current adoptable pets online or visit us at our shelter in Raymond. If you cannot adopt today, consider becoming a volunteer or donating to support the lifesaving medical care and resources we provide to the animals of North Pacific County.
