Feisty Felines
Our Mission
Feisty Felines is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to transforming the lives of cats across Thurston and Pierce County, WA. We are passionate about providing a safe haven for vulnerable felines and advocating for their long-term well-being.
Our Roots
Founded in 2020 by Misti Puening and Brittany Evers, our organization grew from their shared history as independent trappers recognizing a critical need for local intervention. We started with a focus on humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives, which remains our specialized strength in controlling and managing feral cat populations. Our mission has since expanded to include robust foster and adoption programs, ensuring more cats receive the chance at a better life.
Our Approach
As a 100% volunteer-run rescue, we operate through a dedicated foster-based network. This model allows our cats and kittens to receive personalized care, socialization, and medical attention in the comfort of a home environment before joining your family. We are deeply committed to transparency, ensuring every cat we rescue receives comprehensive medical support, including vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter services.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adopting a cat is a deeply rewarding journey that gives a deserving animal a vital second chance. We focus on thoughtful, individual matching to ensure that our kittens and adult cats find a home environment that perfectly suits their unique personality and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking for the playful curiosity of a kitten or the calm companionship of an adult, we are here to support a successful and harmonious transition for you both.
