Welcome to Emerald City Pet Rescue, where compassion meets action for animals in need. Founded in 2013 by Vivian Goldbloom, our organization is committed to rescuing abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters across the country. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance and the opportunity to thrive in a loving home.
At Emerald City Pet Rescue, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive approach to rehabilitation. Each animal we rescue receives the highest standard of medical care and personalized attention, ensuring they are well-prepared to find their forever families. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals, believing wholeheartedly that Love Can Save Lives.
Located in the heart of Seattle's SoDo neighborhood, our adoption center serves as a gateway to finding your new furry friend. We understand that adopting a pet is a significant commitment; therefore, our adoption process includes thorough screenings involving meet and greets, reference checks, and home visits. This ensures that the match is perfect for both the potential pet and the family.
Our mission extends beyond adoption. We operate an 80-acre sanctuary, Ghost Owl Farm, where we provide a safe haven for animals who need extra care. We encourage community involvement through volunteering, fostering, and donations, allowing everyone to participate in the rescue mission.
Join us in our efforts to inspire kindness and advocacy within the community. Whether you choose to adopt, foster, or volunteer, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals in need. Together, we can create a future where every animal is treated with dignity and love.
