The Welfare for Animals Guild (WAG) is dedicated to protecting animals from neglect, abuse, and exploitation, while inspiring compassion for the animals with whom we share our world. We strive to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Since 2001, WAG has been committed to placing dogs into new, loving homes. We step in to help dogs from a variety of backgrounds, including owner surrenders due to life changes, rescues from over-populated shelters, and stray animals found wandering our community.
What truly sets WAG apart is our commitment to a personal, home-like environment for every dog in our care. Our rescues live either in private foster homes or at our Halfway Home Ranch until they are ready for adoption. By living alongside families and our dedicated staff, we gain deep insight into each dog's unique personality and needs, ensuring they receive plenty of love and consistent care.
We believe that successful adoptions are built on thoughtful connections, not just speed. Because we know our dogs so well, we are able to find the perfect match that creates a lasting, joyful bond between you and your new companion. Before they join your family, all our rescues are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and have received a comprehensive medical health check-up.
We invite you to experience the joy of rescue by meeting our current residents or learning more about our foster and volunteer programs. Whether you are ready to open your heart to a new companion or want to support our mission through community events, there is a place for you in the WAG family.
