The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) is dedicated to building a more humane community by protecting public safety and ensuring animal welfare through compassionate, professional, and responsive service.
Our mission focuses on protecting stray, homeless, abused, and abandoned animals across our region. We serve unincorporated areas of Spokane County and several local cities, providing a safe haven for vulnerable pets in need of support and protection.
Our work is rooted in a professional, shelter-based care model where our team provides essential services, including rescue, medical assistance, and advocacy. While we do not accept owner-surrendered pets, our foster families and dedicated staff work tirelessly to save the lives of the county’s most vulnerable animals every day.
We believe that adoption is a joyful partnership that transforms lives. By focusing on animal safety and welfare, we aim to match every animal with a home where they can thrive, ensuring a long-lasting and rewarding relationship between pets and their new families.
We invite you to experience the joy of adoption firsthand at our facility located at 6815 E. Trent Avenue in Spokane Valley. Our adoption rooms are open Monday through Saturday, 12:00pm to 5:00pm, and no appointment is needed to meet your new best friend.
