We are dedicated to providing care, shelter, and placement for neglected and unwanted animals in the greater Spokane area, ensuring every pet finds their loving forever home through our adoption services. Our vision is encapsulated in our guiding principles of Support, Education, Advocacy, and Love (SEAL). We believe that every animal deserves a second chance, and our mission reflects this commitment. With a focus on wellness and medical care, we offer a safe haven for companion animals while actively working towards ending the cycle of homelessness through community education and outreach. The Spokane Humane Society has a rich history of advocacy for animal welfare. Over the years, we have successfully transitioned from a facility forced to make heartbreaking decisions due to overcrowding to one that proudly boasts a live release rate of over 95% since 2008. This transformation was a pivotal moment in our mission - in January 2006, we ceased all euthanasia due to lack of space, long before it became standard practice. Today, we are proud to support the health and happiness of thousands of animals who enter our care each year. At our spacious main campus located at 6607 N Havana St., Spokane, WA, you can meet adoptable pets and engage with our dedicated team. Our partnership with PetSmart at 9950 N Newport Hwy also allows us to connect with the community, ensuring more animals find their forever homes.
