Homeward Pet Adoption Center is dedicated to transforming the lives of cats and dogs in need through compassionate medical care, positive behavior training, and successful adoption. We strive to build a more humane community where every cat and dog deserves a safe and loving home.
Founded in 1990 by Peggy Barnish, we began with a simple belief that every adoptable animal deserves a safe, caring home without the pressure of a euthanasia deadline. Over the past 35 years, we have grown from a small group into one of Washington State's leading non-profit, no-kill animal shelters, finding new beginnings for over 1,800 pets every year.
As a privately funded 501(c)3 charity, we rely on donor support to provide shelter, nutritious food, and expert veterinary care to the animals in our Woodinville facility. Our approach combines an on-site veterinary clinic with specialized behavior and enrichment programs, ensuring every pet receives the socialization and support they need while awaiting their forever family.
We believe adoption is a joyful partnership, and our team is committed to making the best matches based on lifestyle, experience, and the unique needs of each animal. By utilizing an open, communication-based adoption process, we provide you with all the information and professional guidance necessary to ensure a smooth and successful transition for your new family member.
We invite you to explore our available cats and dogs online or schedule an appointment to meet your potential new best friend in person. Whether you are ready to adopt, volunteer, or support our mission, you are helping us create a future where every animal is matched with a loving home.
