Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Facility
A Heart for Our Community
The Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Facility is dedicated to serving the residents and animals of Upshur County with compassion and care. We strive to provide a safe environment for animals in need while working to ensure every pet finds its way to a loving home.
Our Commitment to You
Located in Buckhannon, West Virginia, our facility serves as a vital resource for our community. We believe that by providing a professional and welcoming space, we can better support the unique needs of the animals that come through our doors.
How We Operate
Our team works daily to maintain a well-organized facility, operating Monday through Friday with weekend hours on Saturdays to make visiting easy for your schedule. In addition to our shelter operations, we are proud to partner with Petco Love Lost to help owners reunite with their missing companions. We are fully committed to transparency and efficiency in every aspect of our animal control services.
The Joy of Adoption
Adopting a pet is a wonderful way to bring a new friend into your life, and we are here to support that journey. We invite you to view our current residents and consider the impact a second chance can make for a deserving animal. Choosing to adopt means welcoming a new member into your family while supporting the health and happiness of our community pets.
Take the Next Step
We invite you to visit us at 318 Mud Lick Rd. to meet our animals and learn more about our adoption process. You can browse our current adoptable pets on our website or reach out to us at (304) 472-3865 or via email at luacf@upshurcounty.org. We look forward to helping you find your perfect companion!
