At KCHA, our mission is clear: we focus on saving lives through effective sheltering, adoption opportunities, foster care, spay and neuter programs, and community outreach initiatives. We believe in taking a stand against cruelty and neglect while providing critical resources to our community. Since our revitalization in 2013, we have transformed from a struggling shelter into a beacon of hope. Our save rate has increased significantly, thanks to our relentless dedication and innovative programs. We not only prioritize the quality of life for the animals in our care but also strive to ensure that each animal is spayed or neutered before leaving our facility, helping to combat the overpopulation crisis. As a private, tax-exempt organization relying on the generosity of compassionate donors, we invite you to join our cause. We offer several ways to support our mission, from donations to volunteering, as we serve around 5,000 pets each year.
