Welcome to the Marion County Humane Society, a dedicated Non-Profit 501(c)3 "No-Kill" animal welfare organization in the heart of West Virginia. Our mission is to advocate for the well-being of animals in Marion County, where we proudly serve over 56,000 residents and provide quality care for more than 5,000 animals each year. Located at 2731 Locust Ave. in Fairmont, our no-kill shelter is committed to ensuring that every animal receives the love and care they deserve. Open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., we invite you to visit and meet our wonderful animals ready for adoption. Our diverse team, guided by our passionate Executive Board and dedicated Shelter Director, Jonna Spatafore, works tirelessly to maintain high standards of care. Under the supervision of the Pierpont Community & Technical College Veterinarian, our Veterinary Technician provides essential medical treatment and assistance to keep our animals healthy and happy. The Marion County Humane Society believes in the power of community and collaboration. We actively partner with organizations like PETCO LOVE LOST to help reunite lost pets with their families and host various fundraising events to support our mission. We also offer numerous ways for you to get involved, whether through volunteering, donations, or fostering. Join us in our efforts to provide a safe haven for animals in need.
