Our Mission
Tails of Hope-WI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives by providing loving foster homes, medical care, and forever families to animals in need. We are a community of volunteers committed to spreading hope, love, and wagging tails across the Midwest.
Our Story
Founded in 2019 by Amy Baker, Tails of Hope-WI began as a response to the helplessness felt after a stage four cancer diagnosis. This journey transformed into a mission to help animals who cannot help themselves, ensuring that every rescue story leads to a well-deserved second chance at life.
How We Operate
We are a foster-based rescue, meaning we do not operate a physical shelter. Instead, our animals live in a network of dedicated foster homes throughout western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota, where they receive individualized care and love in a safe, home-like environment until they are ready to meet their forever families.
The Adopter Connection
We take our responsibility to our animals and our adopters very seriously, utilizing a thoughtful application process to ensure the best possible match for every household. Our team works hard to understand each dog's personality and needs, creating a joyful, lasting partnership that changes both the animal's life and yours forever.
