Wisconsin Humane Society - Milwaukee Campus

Welcome to the Wisconsin Humane Society - Milwaukee Campus, where our mission is to make a difference for animals and the people who love them. Founded in 1879, we have proudly served our community for over a century, rescuing and rehabilitating countless animals in need. As an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we operate multiple animal shelters across several counties, providing vital services to over 40,000 animals and their families each year. At the Wisconsin Humane Society, we are committed to compassion, respect, and kindness in every interaction we have with people and animals. We do not euthanize animals to make space in our shelters; instead, we offer compassion by giving them the time they need to find loving homes. Our adoption program helps match more than 13,000 animals with their forever families each year, and we ensure they have all the support they need during the transition. We believe in innovation and are always looking for new ways to improve our services. From affordable spay/neuter clinics to fostering programs, we provide essential resources for pet owners and animal lovers alike. Our community outreach initiatives bridge the gap for families needing assistance with pet food and resources, ensuring pets remain in loving homes. In addition to our adoption and community services, we offer a range of programs including youth engagement opportunities, dog training classes, and specialized support for pets facing behavioral challenges. Our Wildlife Rehabilitation Center also plays a crucial role, rescuing and rehabilitating around 5,000 wild animals each year. Join us in our commitment to make a positive impact in animal welfare. We invite you to adopt, volunteer, or support our mission through donations. Together, we can create a world where animals and humans thrive together. Experience the joy of helping us make a difference today!
