Buffalo County Humane Association
Our Mission
The Buffalo County Humane Association is dedicated to serving the companion animals of Buffalo County and beyond, providing them with the care and affection they deserve while they await their forever homes. We are committed to fostering joy and love through our rescue efforts.
A Legacy of Compassion
For over 25 years, our organization has been a steadfast advocate for animals in need. We are proud to have reached a significant milestone in our history with the opening of our first permanent facility, the Jerome and Judith Benson Animal Shelter, in the fall of 2019.
How We Operate
BCHA is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue run 100% by a dedicated team of volunteers. Because we operate as an all-volunteer organization, our shelter facility in Mondovi is open by appointment only, ensuring each animal receives the focused attention they need.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
We believe that every pet has the potential to bring immense joy into your home. Our adoption process is designed to be simple and supportive, with our team available to guide you through every step of finding the perfect match. Whether you are looking for a cat, dog, or rabbit, we are here to help you build a lifelong, loving bond.
