The Neenah Animal Shelter exists to humanely care for lost, surrendered, neglected, impounded, and abandoned pets until loving, forever homes are found for them. We are committed to improving the bond between people and their pets through education and example.
Since our doors first opened in 1962, we have been a dedicated sanctuary for animals in need. For over 60 years, our non-profit, independent organization has served the community by providing a safe haven for thousands of creatures, from kittens and puppies to street-smart cats and senior dogs.
We operate under a LifeFirst™ philosophy, a promise to never euthanize any animal due to lack of space or funding. Our goal is always to save, restore, and rehome every adoptable animal that enters our care. Euthanasia is truly a last resort, reserved only for cases where an animal is too ill to be treated or too aggressive to be safely placed in a home.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we take great care to ensure the best fit for both you and our furry friends. Every pet is unique, so we consider individual personalities and needs when facilitating our introductions. Our staff is dedicated to creating successful, long-term relationships between our animals and their new families.
Whether you are looking to bring a new companion home or simply wish to support our mission, you are a vital part of our community. We invite you to view our adoptable pets online, visit our facility in Neenah, or reach out to us to learn about volunteering and foster opportunities. Together, we can continue to provide life-saving second chances for the animals who depend on us.
