Our Journey and Mission
Founded by Lynn Nielsen-Eeg in the 1980s, H.O.P.E. (Help for Orphaned Pets through Education) has spent decades rescuing thousands of animals in the Racine, Wisconsin area. Even after Lynn’s passing in 2018, we continue to thrive as a 501(c)3 non-profit, adhering to her original mission of community-based advocacy and hands-on animal rescue.

We are a 100% volunteer-operated organization that relies on the dedication of our fosters, helpers, and donors to achieve our mission. By providing medical care, training, and nurturing in our network of foster homes, we prepare rescued pets for life with their new families, ensuring each animal gets the support they deserve before finding their forever match.
